Remove app windows 8 phone

Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. Also when I click "uninstall" it takes me to a window to select programs to uninstall rather than uninstall the app's. Not all apps offer the "uninstall" option. Is there not just a way to wipe out the apps altogether from windows so that the app start screen is no longer on the computer?

I have found a program to give me the start button like XP has and have managed to get the computer to boot to the desktop like it's suppose to. I just want all that extra app stuff off the computer. By Default several Apps come preinstalled with Windows. If you create a new Windows user then that new user will only have installed the Default Apps. You can try this option if you like, it might do what you want, I don't know as I have never tried it?

I am trying to delete anything in the windows folder that has "app" in its name. For some reason I do not have permission to delete some files on my own computer. I take it you had a look at the link I posted. It looked promising to me but it was not something I ever intended to use.

I have tried the procedures to change permissions and it ends with the "access denied" error. It gives me several error messages along the way every time I try to change my privileges on any file and will not allow me to change it. Is there just a way to get rid of 8. I have decided to stop the automatic updates and am uninstalling the 64 it has done in the few weeks I have had this lap-top.

Restarting the phone normally solves any lingering deployment issues from development time. I've got this problem too. Only happened after hundreds of uninstalls, but now the app is "stuck" - it's not listed in the apps, but Visual Studio gives "Error Installation of the application failed. The application is already installed, or update or uninstall is running. If I find a solution that doesn't require a reset I'll post it here.

Martin Suchan Martin Suchan I uninstalled on the phone as you wrote, but then i could not deploy again from visual studio. I found a app installed with the SDK to deploy. Your expensive smartphones are very likely to get snatched or stolen because they can be concealed easily and then resold. So, in order to sidestep any chance of smartphone robbery, it is advised to activate a remote-wipe service on your device. For windows phone, there is a feature in your phone called "Find My Phone" which can be used to lock or wipe your device remotely.

This free service can be found under the section "My Phone" on WindowsPhone. If you want to activate the locking and erasing of your phone data remotely, then go through these instructions.

On your computer, navigate to "Your Devices" at Microsoft. If you have no account here, then create a Microsoft account because you will have to sign in at this page via your Microsoft account. This account will be the same that you usually use to sign in on your windows phone. After signing in, click on "Find My Phone". On the right side of your screen, you will see three options to select from.

From these three options, click on "Erase". Step 4. When you are about to set up "Find My Phone", you will have to verify your phone number. You can do it by checking the "I authorize…" statement given in the box. After this, tap on "Done". Step 5. When you have clearly made your mind that you want to reset or erase your phone, confirm it by checking on the box- Yes! Erase my phone immediately. Then, click "erase". But note that, these steps cannot be undone.
